Get paid for every extra
Turn T&M tickets into signed change orders and bill them on the next pay app. The foreman adds the ticket and the GC signs on site. You stop doing extras for nothing.

Extras you do and never bill
The GC walks up and asks for one more thing. Your foreman says sure, because the job needs to move and the GC is right there. Three weeks later no one can say what it took, who asked or whether anyone approved it.
That's how a good job turns into a thin one. The work was real, the cost was real, and the billing never happened. The fix isn't a better memory, it's a flow that catches the extra the day it happens.
Daily to ticket to change order
The foreman adds a T&M ticket to the daily, with the crew, equipment, materials and photos. The GC signs it on site, on a phone or a tablet. With one click it becomes a change order draft, and your PM reviews it and prices it.
From there it goes on the next pay app, so it's billed with everything else. Change orders have numbers and revisions, so you can see what was sent and what changed. No one has to remember to bill it.
Where the rates come from
A ticket needs rates, and the rates have to be right. CFOS looks at the job's own rate sheet first. If the job doesn't have one, it uses your annual sheet, and then your settings.
Once a rate is chosen it's copied onto the ticket. If you change the sheet next year, the old tickets keep the rates they were signed with. That's what the GC agreed to, and it's what you bill.
The cost goes on the job too
The same ticket that goes to billing writes to job cost. Labor with burden, equipment at its daily rate and materials are all on the job. So you see what the extra cost you next to what you're billing for it.
That's the number you want when the GC pushes back on price. You've got the signed ticket, the photos and the cost, all on one record. The conversation gets short.
Where it fits
Change orders are part of project management, which is included in the one price. Use ours or connect your own tool from /connect. The bigger picture is on /project-management.

What people ask
Who signs the T&M ticket?
The GC signs on site, with the foreman present. The ticket has the crew, equipment and photos on it. So the signature is on a complete record.
How do rates get on a ticket?
CFOS uses the job's rate sheet first, then your annual sheet, then your settings. The rate is copied onto the ticket. Later changes to a sheet don't alter a signed ticket.
How does a change order get billed?
One click makes a change order draft from the signed ticket. Your PM reviews it. After that it goes on the next pay app.
Can I see revisions to a change order?
Yes. Change orders have numbers and revisions that are kept. You can see what was sent and when it changed.
