The steps need two reports
Live job costs inside thirty seconds, with the bookkeeping cadence that keeps them current. General accounting software does general accounting well, and progress billing, retainage, committed cost and cost to complete are construction functions. Bolting them on with spreadsheets works until the person who maintains the spreadsheet takes a holiday.

Do I have to use it to use the steps?
No. The 8 steps describe what has to be in place, not which software puts it there. ControlQore is the platform step 05 assumes, and the templates work regardless.
